Your tour will begin with pickup from your hotel accommodation in Kingston. Depending on the number of travelers you will either have an air-conditioned car or a bus.
The first stop will be at the Half Way Tree, a central location in Kingston (think of it as Jamaica’s version of Time Square). You will be able to spend up to 30 minutes to browse the stores if desired. You will then head through the Cross Roads area while making your way to Downtown. While driving through Downtown Kingston, you will get to see the local living conditions from the safety of your vehicle, as well as the hustle and bustle as locals go along buying and selling goods on street sides.
The next stop will be at the Craft Market, where you will have 30 minutes to browse through the various shops and stalls to purchase trinkets, crafts, shirts, books, jewelry and other Jamaican memorabilia. After the Craft Market you will drive through New Kingston, which is the business district of Kingston. You will see many huge buildings owned by banks, insurance companies and conglomerates. You may stop at Emancipation Park if you desire for 20 minutes, or simply look at it from the vehicle. Be sure to take a photo of the controversial statue.
No trip to Kingston would be complete without a trip to the Bob Marley Museum. Tour the former house of the King Of Reggae, and learn more about his life. The entrance fee is included in the price of the tour. You may also purchase lunch at the Legend Café if desired. You will have 1 1/2 hours at the museum.
The final stop will be at the Devon House where you can purchase their famous ice cream and pasties and look at the famous mansion. After your time at the Devon House you will be returned to your hotel in Kingston.
