Ananuri is a Castle complex of 13th centuries. At Stepantsminda you will be able to see Gergeti Trinity Church on elevation 2170 meters, you will also see famous Dariali gorge, which was central gate between southern and northern people.Ananuri - Feudal Age (XVI-XVII cc. ) a fort near Ananuri village. The castle was blocking the road coming from the north and the Ravine Residence belonged to Aragvi magistrates. The ensemble consists of an ensemble of secular , military and cultural buildings . The ensemble consists of a citadel and fortress from the bottom . The five-story tower was originally placed in the center of the ever present citadel (XIV-XV centuries. ) . East of the citadel is a small one-nave church (XVI-XVII cc. ) By locals called as "Healer". Since October 24, 2007 Fortress is included in UNESCO World Heritage Tentative list. Fortress with its panoramic views Zhinvali reservoir, seen from the edge of Jinvali has an unforgettable impression on the visitor.
