An occasion for paddling along one of the most beautiful coasts in the world, admiring its caverns and hidden creeks, snorkel in the water of the Marine Protected Area of Portofino and relax on its rocks. After the kayak and snorkeling tour, together with an environmental guide and kayak instructor, you will be served typical organic food and wine on a terrace facing the sea.Starting on the beach, the guide describes the paddling technique and the basis of kayak. The course will continue into the water during the excursion. The kayak and environmental guide shows the excursion route and the variety of fish you could sight snorkeling. Departing from Niasca’s beach going towards Portofino’s Cape, you start paddling into Paraggi’s Bay, forbidden to boat traffic, in order to take confidence with the kayak. You then arrive at the historical harbor, you may also reach the famous “piazzetta” of Portofino.
Paddling along, you reach the Olivetta, a small beach dominated by maritime pines. From the kayak you will admire San Giorgio’s church and the famous Portofino’s Lighthouse, landmark for all sailors and also for kayakers. Beside the following piece of land, rich of caves and creeks, an enormous quantity of fish can be seen, such as grey herons, cormorants and dolphins. The coast changes, losing any civilization sign and leaving space only to unspoiled nature. Final destination of the the tour is Cala del Vitrale where we take off from the kayaks and snorkel in the natural aquarium of the Marine Protected Area of Portofino.
After some rest, it’s time to take the kayak again heading back to the wonderful bay of Niasca. On the beautiful terrace facing the sea, a traditional snack of typical food and organic wine, both from Liguria, is waiting you to restore your energies.
