Guides will help you launch and navigate the park for 2-hrs while you take in beautiful sceneries and see herons, ospreys, and other animals that call First Landing State Park "Home".Meet your guides at the dock of First Landing State Park ready for the ultimate sightseeing experience. After a short briefing on safety and kayak operation, your guides will help you launch you and your kayak into Broad Bay where you will begin to witness the beauty of this unique tidal environment. During this tour you will likely see blue herons, egrets, king fishers, ospreys, and countless other species. Dolphins, cow nose rays, and bald eagles have even been known to make appearances during these tours. At the halfway point you will land the kayaks at the base of an old dune formation and take a short hike through the forest to view beautiful white hill lake where giant osprey nests abound. On the return leg of your tour you will be explore the shoreline and view ancient oyster beds as well as new oyster beds that are part of a conservation effort to restore oysters in the Lynnhaven River basin.
