Kathmandu City Tour starts at around 10 am in the morning after your breakfast at the hotel. A friendly and qualified guide will escort you to the UNESCO listed sites to make your trip a memorable one. The tour begins with a wonderful walk around Kathmandu Durbar Square, an architectural masterpiece that dates back to 12th, 14th to 18th century. Taleju temple with other pagoda temples, Hanuman Dhoka, courtyards, idol of Kal Bhairav, Kasthamandap, and Kumari Ghar are the major attractions of this place. Also the handicrafts, paintings, mask and idols, etc in the streets of the square is extremely marvelous.
After experiencing the art, culture and history of Nepal in the Kathmandu durbar square, we head to our next destination Swayambhunath stupa. Swayambhunath stupa is a huge white lofty dome shaped stupa that stands tall at the top of a hill. Popularly known as the monkey temple, this place is a perfect spot to view entire Kathmandu valley. The shrines, temples, monastery, museum and library along with the Buddhists chants are the major attractions of this place.
From Swayambhunath, we head next to the largest stupa in Nepal i.e. Boudhanath. It is one of the famous religious sites for Buddhists which is much similar to Swayambhunath stupa. Here, the stupa raises higher in the sky upon the three layered spherical Mandala.
After endeavoring the message of Buddha in these Buddhists shrines, we head for our new experience to Pashupatinath temple. Pashupatinath is the oldest temple located at the north-east of Kathmandu. It is a sacred temple of Hindu devotees that lies in the bank of Holy River, Bagmati. Non-Hindus are not allowed to enter the temple. Spreading around 264 hectare of land, it is an antique place filled with many temples of various deities in its premises.
After our wonderful journey at these different beautiful locations of Kathmandu, we end our Kathmandu City Tour at around 4 p.m. in the evening at your hotel itself.
