Experience Japanese pottery lessons at the Kiyomizudera Studio that is located near the famous Kiyomizu Temple, just next to the five-story pagoda “Yasaka-No-Tou” (Yasaka Pagoda). In the midst of the historical gem that is Kyoto, you will learn to create Japanese pottery as a true artisan would.Your lesson will begin as you choose your artisan wear, allowing you to feel like being a pottery artisan. Then, you will be guided to the wheel that you will be using.
The instructor artisan will first demonstrate his or her skill while showing you how to create a piece on the wheel. Then, you will be seated to the wheel to start creating your preferred shape with the assistance of the instructor. Don't hesitate to bring out your creativity! Once you have finished shaping your piece, the instructor will put the finishing touches on your piece.
You will be able to choose your preferred color from 8 selected colors. During your lesson, you will also be asked to fill out your shipping form with the location where you would like your fired works to be shipped (After your lessons, an artisan will fire your finished works).
*Please note: fired works will take approximately 3-4 weeks to be sent to your country.
