You will start with a class in the pool for about 40 minutes where you will learn the fundamental techniques for diving. It includes two dives at different points of the Catalina Islands at a maximum depth of 12 meters for 40 minutes.
The Catalina Islands are a group of different volcanic rock formations that rise to the surface in front of Flamingo Bay. The aquatic fauna is rich and varied, there are many schools of fish with stunning colors that accompany the divers on their tour of the ocean. Some common species are: white tip reef sharks, giant mantas, eagle rays, devil rays, moray eels, octopus, angelfish, barberfish, damsel fish, seahorses, turtles, etc..
The North Pacific is full of wonderful places to dive, Pacific Coast Dive Center organizes diving excursions to any zone, provided that weather conditions allow, among the most famous include the Catalina Islands: Catalina Classic (the big island), Catalina North, Dirty Rock and Elephant Rock. The main asset is the variety of beautiful marine flora and fauna, which makes this an ideal place for scuba diving.
