Surf the waves near Barcelona and enjoy the Mediterranean sea. Enjoy a 2 hour surfing lesson available for all ages, maximum 10 pupils in each group. Make a special gift for someone special: a surfing lesson! Surfing instructor, wetsuit and surfboard included. Lunch not included.Surfing lessons begin with the pupils arrival at school and the instructors welcome. Then, delivery of wetsuits to the pupils and putting on instructions (how to put on the wetsuit correctly and close the zip safely). Thereafter the instructor give the correct surfboard to each pupil according the height and weight.
Going to the sand you will take some theoretical surfing lessons on the following: Surfboards parts (nose, tail, fins, etc.), surfboards materials (foam, fiberglass, epoxy), variety of wetsuits (thickness, shorty, etc.), what is a wave and waves generation, safety tips (currents, clearance, etc), paddling practice on the sand and correct position on the surfboard, take-off practice on the sand and tips to make it easy.
Putting on the leash or leg rope you will then to into the water to practice: paddling, sitting on the surfboard correctly, turning the surfboard efficiently, surfing foams and waves and practising the take-off.
The total duration of the course is 8 hours and is divided in 4 surfing lessons 2h duration each. In each lesson you will be in the water for 1 hour 30 minutes approximately. It is essential that participants know how to swim. Indispensable know how to swim. Remember to bring a towel, swimsuit or bikini to wear underneath wetsuit and sunscreen.
