Before sunset, meet your small group at the predesignated watersports center on Granville Island, and begin your 1.5-hour night tour with a safety briefing from your experienced guide. Choose to sit in a single or tandem kayak, or stand up on a paddleboard. Both kayaks and paddleboards are fitted with powerful LED lights for optimal nighttime viewing.
If you select the stand-up paddleboard, practice popping up on what looks and feels like a giant squishy surfboard, and try out some basic paddling techniques.
When you’re ready, follow your guide’s lead into False Creek, a protected inlet that separates Vancouver’s downtown from the rest of the city. Take in views of the city skyline and the surrounding sea, and enjoy the sights and sounds along the waterfront.
Watch the sun disappear over the horizon and continue paddling into into the English Bay as your LED lights create a halo around you on the water. Your guide provides light and engaging commentary about your surroundings.
After this peaceful paddle along the water, make your way back to Granville Island, where your tour ends.
