After pickup from your hotel in the morning, you will start your tour by visiting Thingvellir, the beautiful National Park, which was accepted on the UNESCO World Heritage list for its cultural values in 2004. It was here where Alþingi, the Icelandic Parliament, was founded in the year of 930 and here it continued to convene until the year of 1798. Then you can enjoy the view of the countryside while your tour continues to the magnificent waterfall Gullfoss. Witness the forces of untouched nature as the water falls down 32 meters in two stages into the craggy canyon. Gullfoss literally means Golden Waterfall, and is extremely beautiful.

Last major stop will be the Geysir area which includes several hot springs as well as the geyser Strokkur which spouts large amounts of water into the air every 10-minutes or so, often 10 to 20 meters above the ground.

We also have an extra stop at the Rauðhólar phenomena (Redhills)which are remnants of a cluster of pseudocraters in Elliðaárhraun lava fields, this phenomena  have not been found anywere else on earth except in Iceland.

Only one other place in our universe it has been discovered and that is in Athabasca Valle region of Mars, where lava flows superheated groundwater in the underlying rocks

This is a comfortable day tour with a friendly and informative guide.
