Swimming with a Humpback Whale is an extraordinary experience, one not to be taken for granted, and as such is conducted purely on the whale’s own terms. Humpback Whales are notoriously curious creatures so it is very possible they will be interested in an interaction, but they may also swim away. For this reason, this tour is conducted as a Whale Watching Tour with the possibility to upgrade to a Whale Swimming tour on the day. Regardless, you will get the opportunity to get so close to these amazing sentient beings on a vessel which allows you 360 degree views, it is an experience like no other. If a whale shark is spotted, you can upgrade to swim with a spotty friend as well. (A one off upgrade fee of AU$90 per person applies to swim with either Humpback Whales or Whale Sharks, whether you swim with one or both).

An air-conditioned bus will collect you straight from your doorstep where you’ll be greeted by the fantastic crew members and welcomed on your journey to the beautiful Ningaloo Reef! Listen in or chill out during the drive down the coast as your guides tell you all about what you're about to experience.

Get ready to board the luxury Sailing Catamaran, meet the rest of your crew for the day and set off in comfort. The crew will take exceptional care of you, fit you for your fins, masks and wetsuits and ensure everybody is 100% at ease, feeling confident and excited! 

Warm up by dropping into one of the most beautiful Reefs in the world at the first snorkel site and discover an abundance of coral, tropical fish, turtles and potentially even manta rays or dugongs. Your guides will be right there with you in the water to steer you in the right direction, and to pay special attention to any modest swimmers. Feel free to grab one of the floating noodles should you feel like the extra bit of flotation.

Venture off to meet the Humpback Whales! The skipper heads the boat towards the Humpback Whales location. There’s a buzz in the air, the excitement and anticipation mounts amongst crew and passengers alike. The experienced crew will then identify the Humpback Whales that may want to interact with the group.

If the conditions are right, and weather permitting, you and your guide drop in and get up close and personal to the majestic Humpback Whale, this is a truly once in a lifetime experience. Either way, you will get to see these magnificent creatures up close and personal, at rest and at play, on the stunning Ningaloo Reef.
