The mission of the ride will be to search out the Howler monkeys. Along the way you will typically see spiny tailed iguanas and local birds like the magpie blue jay, the trogan, the cookoo bird, the motmot, different types of fly catchers and the varied array of green parrots which are easier to see in the dry season. The area is very rural so you may also see pigs and chickens and cows.
The most common animals: Howler monkeys (Congos), spiny tailed iguanas (garobos), magpie blue jay, yellow breasted fly catcher, trogan, cookoo bird, motmot, green parrots and parakeets. Animals less visible: armadillos, boa constricters, vine snake, toucan, scissor tailed flycatchers.
