This program will give you the opportunity to make an excursion horses in Cusco, where you will learn more about the noble and beautiful Peruvian Paso horses, differences and benefits as well as the importance of these within our Peruvian culture. All this with our expert guides to enjoy a tour of relaxation and culture with information about the Valley of Cusco.Our tour will start with your picking up the passengers at their respective hosting, then we will go to our stable in Fundo Molleray which is located 15 minutes from the airport in Cusco. We will show our horses and give you a safety talk and explain some details the route for the trip. Each customer will have their own horse with full equipment for the trip. We will get familiarized and after a practice preheating we will start our journey.
The Incas entered the valley from the south around the year 1200 AD. At that time the Huatanay Valley and the surrounding area was inhabited by small tribes, some of whose names are known: the Sahuasiras, the Antasayas, the Huallas, the Poques, the Lares, the Alcavizas, and the Copalimaytas Little is known about their been worked and that have up to 11 angles This was the Inca style of construction, and it shows that this was indeed an important road during that early epoch.
After visiting the site, we will return to the overlook of Nueva Puna Cancha where we will have our snack, and then start back down the trail into the Valley. We will take a different trail down, that runs along the river. This narrow trail is the one that the Ayar brothers used long ago. Along the way we will have a great view of the modern eucalyptus forests, and also of the native trees such as chachacoma, queuña, and chilca. We will see the native ichu grass, lots of birds, and, if we’re lucky, Andean foxes and vizcachas.
When we arrive at the stables, we will drive you back to your hotel.
