Get a knowledgeable insights inside Vietnam's historical sites such as the Cu Chi Tunnels and War Museum to fully understand why it happened and how the Vietnamese people survived the war.We start the day with a visit to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels. Stretching over 250 km, Cu Chi is one of the most famous and historical aspects of war in Vietnam. The tunnel system was created in 1948 to assist the Viet Minh in fighting the French for independence and became a part of history in the 1960’s. It became a real strong hold by allowing the Viet Cong (communist guerrillas) to control large rural areas in the Vietnam War. The Cu Chi Tunnels are just 65 km away from Ho Chi Minh City.
In the afternoon, we will visit some of the other major attractions in Ho Chi Minh City; the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office.
