This walking tour will take you through the narrow streets and alleys in the Alfama district, an old Moorish neighbourhood.
Alfama is the oldest neightbourhood of Lisbon, the place where the Romans founded their village - Olissippo - and where Muslins established their population at IX century. You will find out about the foundations of the ancient city walls and see how this affected the architecture of medieval houses that still stand in Alfama
Next you will head to a spectacular viewpoint to look over Lisbon, including a stop at Portas do Sol or Miradouro da Graça. The tour will end at the gates of beautiful São Jorge’s Castle.
