This hiking journey begins in Dubrovnik's stone streets, trough narrow path leading to the Fort Imperial on the mountain of Srđ, 512 meters above sea level. This height provides the most mesmerizing view of Duborvnik, Island of Lokrum and surrounding area.Ilijina Glavica, east side of Dubrovnik, is a start point of this hiking journey. Trough the old streets lined with stone houses, tour leads you to narrow path that goes uphill to the Fort Imperial which is the symbol of defense of the city of Dubrovnik during Homeland war in 1991.
The construction of the fort started in 1806, during the French occupation of Dubrovnik, and it was completed in 1812. There will be a short break in front of the fort, where you can enjoy in beautiful view of Dubrovnik. The hiking path then leads to the cosy village of Bosanka, and in the shade of pine trees, you arrive to our final destination, which is the village of Brgat. The duration of this hiking tour is of approximately 2 hours.
