This challenge take you to the second highest peak of Sierra Nevada, 3390 meters of elevation-11120 ft: from the summit you will enjoy a huge panorama the Mediterranean sea, a vast part of the Spanish territory, and even Africa; during the hike you could see mountain goats, eagles, birds migrating from Africa, and insects and plants that just exist here, as Sierra Nevada is Biosphere Reserve(UNESCO).After picking you up at your accommodation in Granada, you will head to the highest point you can get driving, about 2500 meters. You will walk through the beautiful glacier valley of the San Juan, plenty of water and flowers, and you´ll reach las Posiciones del Veleta, important place during the Spanish civil war, located at 3000 meters, and amazing views of the north face of Sierra Nevada and the permanent snow; there you will have time for eat and drink before going to the summit by the North West ridge, touching the void of the impressive North Wall of the Veleta; from the top you´ll enjoy the mountains of the 2nd highest range in Europe, the Mediterranean sea and Africa; take your time to take pictures and listen silence.
The Dilar Glacier valley and its beautiful lakes wait for us coming back to car, and the end of the tour you will have a cold drink and remind your challenge
