Discover the highlights of Kefalonia Island. Kefalonia is a well preserved, unspoiled paradise with lush vegetation, dazzling beaches with breathtaking contrasts of deep blue, white and overwhelming green colors, romantic sunsets and scenic landscapes.Passing through Mount Aenos, you will visit the famous monastery of St. Gerasimos and next to this, the Robola Winery. Leaving the winery, we will head towards the Drogarati cave that was discovered 300 years ago and opened to the public in 1963. Drogarati Cave is famous for its acoustics where orchestras often hold concerts from opera singers like Maria Callas. Passing Sami, where Captain Corelli's Mandolin was filmed, we will end up at the Melissani Lake, an underground lake fed by subterranean channels with water running from the opposite side of the island. Visit the cave, which is partially open to the elements as its ceiling had collapsed, and access it via a man-made tunnel that leads to the shore of the lake. From there, a small boat rowed by master oarsmen will take you to a tour over the lake. The boat passes through a channel whose walls sprout eccentric-looking stalactites. The ceiling, more than 300 feet above you, has light coming in from the entrance, creating a spectacular and eerie effect of dancing colors.
Leaving Melissani we will head to Agia Efimia Village, a quiet little fishing village situated on the east-coast of Kefalonia Island, where you will enjoy  your coffee or even a light meal along the waterfront. Depart from Ag.Efimia and on the way back, see the spectacular and breathtaking Myrtos beach, which will be waiting for you to capture photos.
