After a pick up at your hotel or apartment head to Vila Franca de Xira, cross the bridge Marechal Carmona to the other side of the Tagus river and visit a private area while having the chance to see animals in their natural habitat, like cattle, horses and agriculture plantations. Stop at the end of Ponta D'Erva to observe the Tagus Estuary Natural Reserve, witness some flamingos, egrets, storks and many more species that live here in this area. After observing and understanding the richness of the Tagus and these lands it's time for a wine tasting. Enjoy a visit to the "Companhia das Lezírias" shop and winery and learn about the new and old process of wine making, taste their some of their best wines and visit the vinyards. The "Companhia das Lezírias" is the largest agriculture, cattle and forest farmstead in Portugal with about 18,000 hectares. 
Next, continue to delightful Salvaterra de Magos, town chosen by kings to escape from the city. Men made some of the river ways into the city and in here the kings spent some of their summers hunting and enjoying the best the river has to offer. Enjoy a typical lunch (own expense) and after lunch experience a falcon's flight in the Royal Falconry, house of the king's falcons. Take some time to enjoy the Royal Chapel, the survivor of an intense fire that devastated the whole town in the 19th century. 
The last stop is a private estate that belongs to a former bullfighter. Enter this place and understand his love for all animals, in this estate they have animals from reptiles to horses. Listen to his stories has you visit his "Tertúlia" and all the prizes he won. Meet all his horses and their names and then experience riding a horse for the first time while he explains everything you need to know to understand the connection between men and horse.
