On great quality kit and with an experienced Guide, just maybe we will be joined by a passing seal or dolphin. No previous experience is necessary, the trip is suitable for anyone who is water confident and reasonably fit (able to walk a couple of miles comfortably).
You will join the tour on the beach at Helford Passage, where the high quality equipment will be waiting and you will meet your experienced SUP Guide. The groups are small with a maximum of 8 fellow explorers. There will be a dry bag on board for clients' valuables and spares such as a hat.
After getting to know you a little, your paddling experience and your interests the Guide will give you a short on shore briefing covering the following:
After messing about in the clear waters close to shore the tour will proceed along the rocky outcrop. There is the stunning backdrop of Falmouth Bay, up river and across to the picturesque Helford Village. Sea birds are abundant because of the fish in the area and undisturbed habitat and occassionaly we are joined by a grey seal or dolphin.
There are secluded beaches and quays only accessible by boat and you will visit one, watching out for snorkelers in the area.
On returning to Helford Passage there is an opportunity for some fun games and to test your new found SUP skills.
There is a small charge for parking at Helford Passage and there is a café, pub and toilets at the beach. Beware the café sells very tasty cakes!
All equipment is provided, you should wear a wetsuit, except on the warmest days in July and August. If you do not have one, one can be provided at an additional fee of £5 on the day, you are just required to inform an indication of your size in advance.
