This cooking class nourishes the body and the soul for a radiant level of wellness.
Menus are mostly vegetarian but not at all restricted to vegetarian dishes. All products used during our hands-on culinary experiences come from local certified farmers and producers.Your chef will welcome you in the beautiful kitchen of a new and well equipped cooking school.
She will introduce you to the the world of Italian whole food organic ingredients. Organic goes beyond not using synthetic pesticides, chemicals, and herbicides. It promotes sustainability, by using natural resources and raising animals in a responsible and ethical way.
You will discover how to choose local ingredients that are rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals to make, not only dishes that are much tastier, but that are good for your body and soul.
This Cooking School is not strictly vegetarian but ingredients form whole plant foods will represent the higher part of the class.
The hands-on class consist of the preparation of a four course traditional Italian menu.
The appetizer will be prepared with fresh seasonal vegetables and herbs straight form the farmer's filed. These may include sage leaves and/or fired zucchini flowers fried in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, seasonal vegetable paté and other seasonal appetizers.
The first course includes either fresh pasta made with special organic flours, low in gluten or a special Risotto made with fine rice selections and other grains commonly used in the Mediterranean diet.
The second course may be prepared with meats form organically raised animals or organic cheeses.
We finish with a seasonal dessert.
The meal is paired with wine made from organically grown grapes.
