Board a traditional Dragon Boat and head down the Perfume River to Sinh village, known for its beautiful folk paintings. Pass by many notable sights along the way including Hen Island, the Bai Dau wholesale market, the ancient town of Bao Vinh and the village of Thanh Tien, known for its paper flowers.
Arrive at Lai An Wharf around 9:30am and travel to the house of local artist Ky Huu Phuoc, known for his traditional folk paintings. Enjoy a demonstration and then head out and continue exploring the village, picking up bicycles along the way. Mount the bike and head for the village of Thanh Tien, home to the artist Than Van Huy. Learn about daily life and architecture in Hue before continuing on along the village streets. There will be a visit to a local paper flower gallery and the opportunity to learn how to make the beautiful lotus flowers with help from a local artist. Visit the monument of Nguyen Chi Dieu, an official member of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam before leaving the village.
