We are English speaking Vietnamese chefs who feel that bringing mindfulness to the art of cooking is as important as mindfulness when eating and meditating. The energy that you put in to cooking is reflected in the taste and the nourishment of your body when you eat what you cook.

We not only teach you how to cook in the Vietnamese style, we also so you how to use natural, unprocessed, and organic ingredients that are native or unique to Vietnam. Local and seasonal ingredients are always used.

We also teach you how to balance yin and yang in order to create a healthy lifestyle for you. When you have the chance to practice meditation and touching life deeply in every moment, you come to understand yourself and others much more clearly and compassionately.

HALF DAY ZEN MEDITATION AND COOKING CLASS Either morning (8:00 – 12.30) or (13.30 – 18.00) We start the day by picking you up at you up from your hotel at 8am.

We go directly from your hotel to one of the local markets to experience shopping with an English speaking Vietnamese chef to select fresh ingredients to use in your cooking class.

We then travel to an organic farm where your classroom and kitchen is located.

At the organic farm, we will cook together and learn about how food is grown in Vietnam.

  • We take time for meditation and then learn how to make an herbal drink
  • We will pick fresh herbs and vegetables for our cooking lesson
  • The chef will guide you in selecting the best and freshest ingredients
  • You will have plenty of opportunity to get hands on while at the farm
  • If sunny, we will cook outside; if raining, we will cook inside.
After we cook and reproduce the flavors of Vietnam, we will sit down to mindful eating meditation as we enjoy the dishes you have just prepared.

After we finish eating, we will wash the dishes together then say our farewells and transport you back to your hotel.
