Almost 1000 Indian Runner Ducks parade past you on their way to work in the vineyards eating slugs and snails while you sip on wine and enjoy the beauty of the surrounds. After this we will visit Meerlust Wine Estate and taste some of their award winning wines before moving onto Spier Wine Estate where you will have the opportunity to have a close encounter with Eagles and Owls.

Almost 1000 Indian Runner Ducks parade past you on their way to work in the vineyards eating slugs and snails while you sip on wine and enjoy the beauty of the surrounds. After this we will visit Meerlust Wine Estate and taste some of their award winning wines before moving onto Spier Wine Estate where you will have the opportunity to have a close encounter with Eagles and Owls.You will be collected from accommodation in Cape Town at 08:30am and be driven to visit a working duck farm called Vergenoegd Wine Estate. It has over 900 Indian Runner Ducks whose main purpose apart from entertaining guests on the daily duck parade, eat the slugs and snails off the grape vines. Here you will enjoy a wine tasting at the Estate in the beautiful gardens.
After, you will then drive up the road to another glorious wine farm for wine tasting called Meerlust Wine Estate, where will will get to taste some award winning wines. Your next stop on the same stretch of road will be Spier Wine Estate, where you will have a guided tour of the estate and visit the Eagle Sanctuary. Here, you will also get a chance to hold and touch Eagles and Owls before doing a wine tasting of Spier's finest wines.
You will be dropped off at your accommodation at around lunch time between 1 - 2pm. Please note these times are approximate.
