This rafting excursion in the afternoon offers just the right amount of adventure for those who don’t need the full-day experience of the Kicking Horse Classic.
Depart from the Alpine Rafting Office at 12:15pm. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the trip departure time. During the summer season, this trip also departs on Saturdays at 11:15am and 5pm.
After a safety briefing, make your way to the water. Then take on 7 miles (12 km) of the Middle Canyon on the Kicking Horse, where you’ll experience Class 3 and Class 4 rapids. Whether you’re new to rafting or an experienced pro, this tour provides a taste of the amazing scenery and adrenaline-fueled white water of these Canadian rapids.
You'll return to the Alpine Rafting Office approximately 3 hours later. As an added bonus, digital photos from your day of rafting will be available to at no charge!
All equipment is provided to get you all setup for a day out on the water - including a wetsuit, neoprene boots, goretex spray jacket, life jacket and helmet. Neoprene gloves are also available onboard for your comfort. However, you may want to bring a fleece or wool sweater to wear as an extra layer of warmth on top of the wetsuit but underneath the spray jacket.
