Join in this 4-hour private walking tour of historic Athens and set your senses free to enjoy this incredible experience.Meet at the starting point at 09:00 or 17:00 outside the metro station. The tour will begin at the House of the Greek Parliament, the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and by watching the impressive changing of the guards. Then continue toward the National Gardens and the beautiful neoclassical Zappeion Hall, where many marvel at the surviving columns of the Olympian Zeus Temple and Hadrian’s Arch. From there, walk toward the Acropolis through the imposing pedestrian walkway of Dionyssiou Areopagitou.Take a small break to enjoy a coffee or snack under the shadow of Acropolis area. Carry on after with a visit to Anafiotika, the neighborhood underneath the stone slope of the Acropolis with the small traditional island-colored houses.
At the end of our tour, you will have a great walk through Monastiraki area, with a traditional Flea Market, its full-of-life square and Pandrossou Street. Time for some delicious gelato. Continue on and stroll though the Plaka Area, the city’s oldest neighborhood, combining a maze of cobbled streets lined with Neoclassical architecture, Byzantine churches and busy little shops. The tour will end at Syntagma Square, or "Constitution Square", in the center of the city.
