The winery produces high-quality wines and the picturesque landscape is remarkable, surrounded by Araucaria trees and several small rural properties. The 4-hour visit includes the outside area, wine production and wine tasting, plus free time to explore the trails or have lunch, at your own expense. The visit to Vinícola Araucária is a great opportunity to get to know the excellent wines produced the region and not found elsewhere...yet, as the production is small and the quality very good. The visit includes a guided tour of the outside area where the grapes are ground, as well as the production where you will have a wine tasting. You will also have the opportunity to buy some of the fine wines produced there to take home with you. A delicious lunch harmonized with wines is also included. The tour must be booked in advance and is available daily with different departure times, morning and early afternoon.
A pioneer in Paraná Estate in the integration of wine production and grapes raising, Vinícola Araucária has improved its production since 2007 and produces red, white and sparkling wines. The wine geography in Brazil changed because of that and, today, the parallel 25°S is considered a wine production and grape raising area.
The property produces eight grape varieties from Europe, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Viognier, Merlot, Nebbiolo and Toroldego. The winery also produces two kinds of sparking wines (Poty Brut and Poty Demi Sec), a white wine (Angustifólia Chardonnay) and three kinds of red wine (Angustifólia Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Gralha Azul Merlot).
The architecture of the winery is beautiful and in harmony with the surrounding nature and local art. All labels and decorations are inspired by the local nature and paintings by the local artist Poty Lazzarotto.
After the visit, you'll have approximately an hour of free time to explore the different trails on the property or have lunch (optional - not included in the tour). The restaurant is open Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. In case you are a group of at least 10 people, an optional lunch can be reserved.
Be transferred back to Curitiba afterward.
