Visit Uluwatu Temple located in one of Bali’s best surf destinations before watching a Kecak, Balinese dance and drama performance about the story of Ramayana. You will finish your half day small group tour with a fine seafood dinner on shores of Jimbaran Bay.You will be picked up from your accommodation at 4pm.
At 5pm you will arrive at Uluwatu Temple. Uluwatu is located on the South Western tip of the Bukit Peninsula of
Bali. It is home to the Pura Luhur Uluwatu Temple and it is a famous surf destination known around the world for surfers of all abilities. The Uluwatu Temple is a Balinese Hindu Temple located right on the top of a steep hill with the cliff face right at the side. At 5:45pm you will watch the Kecak dance performance. The show tells the story of Ramayana with a fire game of traditional Balinese dance also known as the Ramayana Monkey Chant. This piece is performed by a circle of at least 150 performers wearing checked cloth around their waists, percussively chanting "cak" and moving their hands and arms. It depicts a battle from the Ramayana. The monkey like Vanara helped Prince Rama fight the evil King Ravana. Kecak has roots in sanghyang, a trance inducing exorcism dance.
Finish up your tour with a dinner at 7:30pm. Your dinner will be on the beach of Jimbaran Bay where fresh seafood will be served. You will be able to hear the sound of the waves crashing offering a pleasant atmosphere in the evening. You will be taken back to your hotel at 8:30pm.
