Pedal through the quiet streets of the park with a stop at the Shu Brocade and Embroidery Museum which originated from Chengdu Shu Brocade Factory, the museum not only presents the history and culture of Shu Brocade and Embroidery, but also displays and sells artworks and crafts, it's the largest exhibition, preservation and research centre of Shu Brocade and Embroidery in China.
Head to the Huaxi Campus of Sichuan University, once known as the West China Union College. Established in 1910 by five Christian missionary groups from the U.S, U.K and Canada, Sichuan University has been a major medical university in China with an extremely respected reputation abroad, drawing students from India and Europe. Its campus has beautiful lily ponds where students and strangers alike can meditate and study.
