Patara Elephant Farm is set approximately 30km west of Chiang Mai in a beautiful forested setting and offers an intimate and educational elephant encounter. This is undoubtedly a once in a lifetime experience.Itinerary
1pm: Pick-up from your hotel to join-in transfer to Patara Elephant Farm (please kindly note that your pick-up time may slightly differ depending on your hotel’s location). Please note: We can only can pick up guests with a hotel in Chiang Mai city.
2pm: Upon arrival at Patara Elephant Farm, you will be given your training mahout outfit to change into and get ready for this incredible experience.
2:30pm: Your Elephant training session starts! You will be participating in the elephant breeding program and give daily healthcare to the farm’s pregnant elephants and their small babies. You will learn how to approach and be near the elephants, feed them, go through the elephants’ health check, walk with them to drink water and give them a proper bath. Together with your instructor, you will take your elephant for a walk and will then have the opportunity to ride bare back.
3:45pm: When mastering the commands of the elephant, enjoy a 45-minute bare back riding session. Come back to the farm for an evening feeding session.
5pm: It is time to take the last photos with your elephants before saying goodbye.
6pm: Transfer back to your hotel
