The journey will take approximately 4-hour, starts from Tanjung Aru Railway Station to Papar. You will experience the lush landscape of the coastal and rural regions of Sabah. A typical “Tiffin” colonial lunch will be served on the return trip.

The journey will take approximately 4-hour, starts from Tanjung Aru Railway Station to Papar. You will experience the lush landscape of the coastal and rural regions of Sabah. A typical “Tiffin” colonial lunch will be served on the return trip.Our professional guide will meet and pick you up at hotel lobby located in Kota Kinabalu around 9am. Upon arrival at Tanjung Aru Train Station, you will embark the traditional steam train.
The train will depart at 10am from Tanjung Aru Station. Along the way, soak in the green vistas of sprawling paddy fields, traditional village homes on stilts. The train will stop at Kinarut Town to visit Tien Shi Temple or traditional shops after 40-minute ride.
Your train ride continues from Kinarut Station at 11am and passing through the Kawang Forest Reserve before arriving in Papar Town to visit local wet market and shops.
The train head back to Tanjung Aru with no stop, and a typical “Tiffin” colonial lunch will be served on-board. You will be transferred back to your hotel safely after the trip.
