Spend half-day visiting the Lanna Kingdom Elephant Sanctuary to interact with our Thai’s elephants and even have a chance to play with tiny elephant baby. You will see how they live and get a hand-on experience by feeding them, checking their health, taking them for a walk and making vitamin balls.
You will find free-roaming elephants happily live in a safe and sustainable environment. This half-day program is suitable for tourists who have limited of time in Chiang Mai and would like to get closer interaction with the Thai’s elephants. Riding on elephants is not allowed at Lanna Kingdom Elephant Sanctuary.Our driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby in Chiang Mai city area around 8am and drive through a beautiful countryside of North Chiang Mai, it will take approximately 1-hour to arrive the sanctuary.
Upon arrival, you will meet our professional English speaking guide and putting on your special outfit before joining an interesting briefing focused on Thai’s elephants. Our guide will then introduce you to our Rescue Elephant Program and learn how to prepare some healthy food for the elephants.
You will feed our elephants with the food you have prepared and take some amazing photos with this massive mammals. Our guide will lead you to walk together with our elephants around the vast property of the sanctuary, the elephants need exercise to keep their body healthy and fit.
You will then observing the elephants mud spa that keep their body temperature down and protects them from parasites. You can take the opportunity to bathe the baby elephant depend on the weather and river conditions.
After you have changed back to your own dry clothes, you can take a final opportunity to feed the elephants before saying goodbye.
Finally, we will have lunch at a restaurant with delicious Northern Thai food and you’ll travel back to your Chiang Mai hotel in the air-conditioned vehicle with memories and pictures to last a lifetime.
