Be prepared for a variety of walking conditions in the rain, sun, or fog while we are walking through the funky old streets of Hanoi - up and down the very busy, narrow streets of the old quarter. This tour offers visitors a fun, entertaining and informative introduction into Hanoi through its food and food culture. This tour will last about 4-5-hours and features food and beverages that are locally sourced, prepared, and sold. Be prepared for a variety of walking conditions in the rain, sun, or fog while we are walking through the funky old streets of Hanoi - up and down the very busy, narrow streets of the old quarter. With an English speaking foodie guide, we will make stops to visit carefully selected food sellers and restaurants in an authentic Vietnamese setting. We start our walking food tour by visiting the colorful local market Dong Xuan, where we meet and chat with a few stall holders about their food. We have the chance to see some of the 36 original trading streets that make up the old quarter to show you some of our highlights.
Our walk then continues along high streets and back alleys, strolling alongside the old French architecture and discovering out-of-the-way street vendors who are making and selling a wide variety of exotic foods. Our final destination is a nice, comfortable setting indoors. Here our guests will enjoy sitting down for refreshments while tasting a wide selection of local delicacies purchased directly from the street vendors most of whom we saw or met along the tour route.

While it's not physically possible to eat everything you see on the tour, when we're finished with the tour, you should be able to identify a range of local dishes and know how to order them.
