A short walk along the riverbank brings you to the Catholic Santa Cruz Church, built in 1770 during the reign on King Taksin. Close by is the Chinese shrine Kuan An Keng, where you can admire the intricate woodcarvings and mural paintings (no photo/videography allowed inside). Cross over Bangkok Yai Canal on foot and continue to Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn).
