Cam Nam Island is known for its many Arica palm trees. On this tree the 'beetlenut' grows. Elderly Vietnamese women are often seen chewing on this nut to get red and black teeth, which is seen as a sign of beauty. 8am: hotel pick up by local guide with bicycles. We get 4 hours cycling tour to enjoy fresh atmosphere of original village. You will see the local life on Cam Nam Island, one of the islands in the delta of the Thu Bon River. You will get a good overview of the local workshops and the traditional and daily life of the people on Cam Nam Island. There is much to be seen on this industrious island: a shipyard, local people making baskets and rice paper, cooking fish, carving wood, making shoes and more! It is possible to take a boat trip with locals from the 'Ba Tro Bridge,' through an idyllic creek in a small rowing boat. This creek is surrounded by water coconut palm trees. It's a great tour that provides a good amount of content for those who are tight on time.
