Take to the slopes of Grindelwald in style, and make your first turns on the snow with this half-day beginner ski or snowboard experience with optional transport from the Interlaken area. Pick up your equipment, meet a qualified instructor, and then head to the gentle beginner slopes at Bodmi. During a 2.5-hour class, you’ll enjoy personal attention from your instructor on this small-group tour, limited to eight people.Start your half-day ski experience day with a pickup from Interlaken, Matten bei Interlaken, Unterseen, Wilderswil, Ringgenberg, Bönigen, Neuhaus, Lauterbrunnen, or Iseltwald. Your first stop is the ski hire shop in Interlaken to collect your boots, helmet and skis or snowboard.
From Interlaken, make your own way to the Bodmi ski area of Grindelwald (roughly 30 minutes away by car), or upgrade to make use of a hassle-free transfer shuttle that takes you straight to the slopes. Meet your instructor — a qualified teacher with the Swiss Ski School — and hit the gentle Bodmi piste to begin your half-day lesson.
Listen as your instructor explains the correct techniques, then take to the slopes! Practise sliding over the gentle terrain and try your hand at a few basic manoeuvres. Take in beautiful views over the north face of the Eiger mountain; many mountaineers consider it to be one of the world’s most challenging peaks.
Perhaps take a break for a snack (own expense) halfway through your class then, after 2.5 hours on the snow, return your equipment to conclude your experience. If you have selected the upgrade option, finish with a drop-off at your start point.
