Chengdu serves as the natural habitat for famous and endangered giant pandas. This tour allows you to maximize time by taking a trip to the Giant Panda Bear Research Center on your way from the airport to your hotel. Upon arrival to Chengdu International Airport your local guide will meet you on a comfortable, private vehicle and transfer you to the Chengdu Giant Panda Bear Research Center. Most of the giant pandas in the center stay individually in their captive cages, which are in fact large enclosures, consisting of an indoor room and an outdoor courtyard. The semi-nature enclosures are very large wild areas but protected by border fences. Pandas in these areas will soon be released back into the wild and these enclosures help them adapt to this natural environment. Giant pandas will sleep, eat and recover their natural survival skills there until they can be released back to the wild. After your visit to the Giant Panda Bear Research Center your guide and driver will transfer you to your hotel in Chengdu city center.
