Braga, Braca Augusta - ancient Roman city, the oldest Portuguese city and capital of religion in Portugal, where we visit the XI century cathedral and the impressive Sanctuary of Bom Jesus, located on the hills of the city.The tour will start with a visit to Portugal´s birthplace as a nation - Guimarães. The city has preserved a medieval atmosphere and is considered as a World Heritage Site. We will visit the imposing 10th century castle and the majestic Dukes of Bragança Palace. Afterwards, the historical Santa Maria Road will lead you to the charming square in the heart of the old town, Largo da Oliveira. After a relaxing lunch break included, we head to Braga, the oldest Portuguese city and religious capital of Portugal. For centuries the city has been an archiepiscopal seat and pilgrimage site. We will go to the Sé, the 11 th century cathedral, following by a visit to Bom Jesus Sanctuary, located in one of the city hills.
