Your tour starts at the bike shop, located in downtown Flagstaff where you’ll get fitted for your Firmstrong Urban 3-speed beach cruiser. After getting comfortable with you bike, your guide will take you back to the 1800’s with detailed, historic commentary.
After you depart the shop, you’ll cross the Historic Route 66 and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad before stopping to hear about the importance of the railroads development to the early pioneers. Travel down Beale Wagon Road to see Flagstaff’s first electric laundromat and heating company before seeing major architectural highlights of the community. From the utilitarian bare pioneer style to the most recent developments in architecture such as the super eco-friendy shipping container house you will experience firsthand the ingenuity and sustainability Flagstaff is known for.
Next you’ll ride along Beale Wagon Road to see local murals and old hotel signs which demonstrate the mentality of the pioneers as people immigrated over time. Then you’ll head to the train station which is full of stories and history surrounding early tourism and the importance of Grand Canyon to the region.
