Enjoy a panoramic drive to these locations and discover small villages and views of the bay as you make your way there.Start this trip discovering the incredible views of the Mediterranean sea on your way to Guadalest. Once you get to Guadalest, admire its Arab origin architecture declared a Historic-Artistic Site. You will go up to the castle of San José, the 11th Century Muslim fortress that can be accessed through a natural tunnel on the rock.
The castle is situated in the high part of the town and it was first a Muslim settlement that over the years became part of the Aragon Crown. Its fortress surrounds the whole town backed by the mountains of the same name on top of a 500-metre-high rock that overlooks the reservoir that supplies water to the region of Marina Baixa. Once outside of the Castle you will visit the old prison located inside the Town Hall. From here, you will go to the main square of this town where you will find the typical souvenir and handicraft stores. Take your time to wonder around and try some local snacks. Once the 5 hours have gone by, you will head back to Alicante where this experience finishes.
In our way back to Benidorm, we will first stop at Altea. It´s a fisherman village located on the top of a hill whose highest altitude is dominated by the belltower of the church. From the square we will have excellent panoramic views of the region.
