We'll take you out for about a one-hour run to discover Lisbon's secrets.At Run in Portugal, we are passionate about running and about Lisbon and we want to share that passion with you through our running tours. Let us show you Lisbon from a different perspective, from a sporty and local one. We'll take you out for about a one-hour run to discover Lisbon's secrets.
One of our favourites because we’ll meet at the heart of Lisbon, Praça Marquês de Pombal, one of Lisbon’s most important roundabouts, located on top of the Avenida da Liberdade, and we’ll head towards the lung of Lisbon, the Monsanto Forest Park. We’ll head up through the Eduardo VII Park, cross the big flag, and follow the “Corredor Verde” (the Green Corridor) in direction of the Forest. It’s a great run since it combines both city and nature, has varied pavements, some hills and stunning views over the city.
In the Forest we’ll make you get dirty and get on some single tracks. If you prefer to stay on the asphalt, that’s possible too ;) Monsanto offers a well-diversified tree-covered area to the Portuguese capital as a large number of species were introduced during the reforesting period. One of the great advantages of this forest is the fact that it’s tree-covered, providing some shade during the run and forgetting we’re actually in a European capital!
Highlights:
· Get to know the city and its forest in only one run;
· Marquês de Pombal roundabout;
· Eduardo VII Park;
· The big flag;
· Stunning view points;
· Monsanto Forest Park where you forget you’re in the city.
