Imagine a dropzone with spacious, ultramodern facilities, operated by none other than the Canadian skydiving elite. Now come back down to earth, because this dropzone actually exists! So you’ve decided to do one of the most exciting activities in the world by doing a tandem jump with us. All you have to do is book a day and a time, and you’re all set!
Arrival and Training
On the day of your jump, be at the front desk at the time you reserved. Wear running shoes or sandals with buckles, weather-appropriate clothing and a big smile! The training for your tandem jump should take between 30 and 60 minutes.
Suiting Up
About 20 minutes before you board the airplane, you will be suited up. In other words, the professional staff will help you put on a skydiving jumpsuit as well as a harness specially designed for tandem jumps. Your relatives and friends can stay with you during this step.
The Airplane Ride
Then you head towards the boarding area where you take your last photos before getting on the plane and where your relatives and friends wave you off. During the plane ride up, try to enjoy the scenery and let the excitement build! Final destination: 4000 metres up!
The Freefall
A few minutes before you jump, your harness is hooked up to your instructor’s. When it’s time, you move towards the airplane exit for the long-awaited moment: 60 seconds of freefall at 200 km/h!
The Canopy Flight
When the parachute opens, the fun isn’t over! For about 5 to 8 minutes, you get to soar through the skies of Farnham, hanging under a canopy. This part of your jump will give you a breathtaking view of the Eastern Townships. If you ask, the instructor will show you how to steer the parachute and tell you about some of the characteristics of canopy flight.
Back to Earth
When you land, you will receive a certificate to make your return to earth official. Your feet may be physically back on the ground, but you will most likely have your head in the clouds for several weeks after your jump!
