After a quick check in at the Reef Fleet terminal your reef adventure begins with tea/coffee and muffins before seting off in the fast modern high-speed catamaran. After a safety briefing, the friendly staff will spend the journey to the reef teaching you snorkeling techniques and educating you about the Great Barrier Reef. The dive briefing will also take place during the journey. All divers are welcome as well as those just a little bit curious to join in on this brief. Before arriving at the reef your crew will organise your snorkeling and diving equipment for you. Wetsuits are available to hire at an additional charge.
As soon as you arrive at the first location THE POOL IS OPEN!
Snorkel - Access to and from the water is via snorkel platforms at the back of the vessel. The reef sites are selected for their abundance of marine life and diversity of healthy corals. Emerge yourself in the coral rich lagoon that is calm, shallow and full of marine life. Novice snorkelers are encouraged to join the dedicated staff on our guided snorkel excursions.
Introductory Dives - are available for those who wish to try SCUBA Diving for the first time. These are fully guided dives in small groups under the competent instruction of one of the fully qualified and experienced dive Instructors.
Certified Divers - have the opportunity to conduct two dives during the day. All dives are guided in small groups of no more than 6, by experienced dive masters.
Glass Bottom Boat Tour - Passengers can enjoy an optional glass bottom boat tour with full commentary by our marine naturalist.
Lunch time! The on board chef has been busy all morning preparing a scrumptious hot and cold food buffet meal that includes fresh local prawns, salads, fresh fruits, breads, and a choice of two hot dishes. Vegetarians always catered for and any allergy can be catered for with notice!
Once lunch is served, you'll head off to our second exclusive destination for afternoon of more water activities! Snorkel tours will continue here and all divers have the opportunity of doing a second dive.
It is then time to put the sails up and relax on the spacious sun decks as you set sail back to Cairns. Enjoy a cool beverage on the deck or join us in the air conditioned saloon for our marine life presentation. The passionate crew will teach you about the Save a Shark Program and our Eye on the Reef monitoring participation. Now is the best time for any questions about the fabulous marine life you saw on the Great Barrier Reef! After a full day of snorkeling, diving and sailing we'll have you back in Cairns by 5pm.
