This breathtaking Grand Canyon excursion features outstanding overlook at the Grand Canyon along with dinner at the historic Bright Angel Lodge and a visit to a historic Navajo trading post. This trip offers the best opportunity to see the Grand Canyon's colors change throughout the day but that is not all. The day beings with a scenic drive through Oak Creek Canyon along Scenic Byway 89a, one of the country's most beautiful routes. Then witness the diverse change in landscape that occurs as you tour through the tall pines of Flagstaff with views of the massive San Francisco Peaks and onto the Navajo Reservation with its panoramic Painted Desert backdrop.
The next stop will be made at the historic Cameron Trading Post. This establishment dates back to 1916 and houses a wonderful selection of arts and crafts from many Southwestern Native American tribes along with plenty of souvenirs. It is also a perfect place to enjoy a view of the Little Colorado River gorge and grab a snack/lunch before the journey continues.
Your guide will then escort you to Grand Canyon National Park for a spectacular visit. Stops will be made at a variety of wonderful overlooks so you can enjoy the colors and shadows as they change hour by hour. The photo opportunities are endless on this tour. Upon arrival at Grand canyon Village, you'll be treated to a delicious dinner at the historic Bright Angel Lodge located at the rim of the Grand Canyon. After dinner, join your guide for a walk along the rim and visit two amazing viewpoints that show off dramatic sunset colors. From here, you can see more than 14 miles across this great chasm to the North Rim. As you watch the sun sink slowly on the horizon, you're sure to be creating memories that will last a lifetime. Afterwards, your guide will transport you safely back to your departure hotel.
