This fantastic tour lets you discover, why is the island of Gran Canaria for its diversity often called a "Miniature Continent". You will start your day in the cosmopolitan capital of Las Palmas, continue to the pilgrimage center of Teror, observing amazing mountain scenery and taste delicious almond sweets in the mountain village of Tejeda, climb the mythical rock of Roque Nublo, have lunch in the picturesque fishing port of Puerto de las Nieves and swim on its volcanic beach; and taste a unique Canarian coffee in Valle de Agaete.During this full day tour of Gran Canaria, you will first visit Teror – the most important religious center in the island, with its beautiful basilica and very well preserved old quarter of a great historical and artistic interest. You will be enchanted by the typical wooden balconies and romantic corners of the village.
Tejeda – in the colorful mountain village you can have something small to eat to get ready for the following adventure. An interesting option for your breakfast could be the appetizing products of Tejeda's almond sweets shop.
Roque Nublo – according to the local proverb: “Who haven’t been to Roque Nublo, haven’t been to Gran Canaria”, we will set up for a 1.5 hour hike to this mysterious mountain. The trek is not difficult, but this part of the tour is optional. If you don’t want to defeat Roque Nublo, than you can wait for the group by the stall with local products (and eat more almond sweets) with great mountain views.
Puerto de las Nieves – picturesque fishing port with a small hermitage, beautiful seafront promenade a good fish tavernas. Here you will have approximately 1.5 hours to have your lunch or/and go swimming to the small volcanic beach or to the natural pools with salt water.
In one of the tavernas with nice view of the port and ocean, you can have a delicious menu for only 7€/person (starter, main dish and dessert).
Valle de Agaete – in a peaceful and fertil valley you will have your last gastronomical experience of the tour tasting the unique Canarian coffee in a family-run coffee plantation. You will also find out how the local coffee is produced in a traditional way. Entrance fee and a cup of coffee is included in the price of the tour.
