Visit the most breathtaking places in Iceland on a full-day tour of the Golden Circle and the South Shore. Leaving from Reykjavik, drive through are farmland and view the recently erupted volcano. After taking in the sights of the South Shore, you will then continue on to the Golden Circle, one of the most beloved sites in Iceland.
The day begins with a drive towards the national park along the banks of the Thingvallavatn, second largest lake in Iceland towards our next destination Althingi, the place of the oldest parliament in the world, established in 930AD. At Thingvellir we observe presentation of historical significance of the area and take a walk between continental plates of the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates along the famous drowning pool and Silfra, which is a wishing well where we will test our luck.
Then we continue the tour towards the Laugarvatn, warm lake and ahead to the Geyser´s area for observing famous hot springs. There we take a walk through geysers area to the Strokkur, which erupts every few minutes, and you will have perfect picture making moments. Our next stop at the Gullfoss (Golden waterfall), one most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland.
Then we go ahead to the south coast towards, along famous Eyjafjallajokull and Solheimajokull glaciers, two of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland, the Seljaladsfoss and Skogafoss and will experience how it like to live in neighborhood of volcano Eyjafjallajokull. After visiting the edge of migrating Solheimajokull glacier, we head out to the coast of Myrdalssandur and magnificent black beaches at Reynisfjara and Dyrholaey. We then continue back towards Reykjavik city and drop you off at your hotel.
