Unhurried, personalized cave eco-tours for small groups of 2 to 8 people in Waitomo.Your adventure begins at the base, with beautiful views over New Zealand farmland and native forest. The operator will kit you out in caving helmet, headlamp, suitable footwear, and caving apparel. The tour begins with a walk down the scenic Mangapu Gorge, where you can become acclimatized to the environment.

You then enter Mangarongapu Cave, and spend approximately 90-minutes walking through the large cave system, stopping to view the three magical glowworm displays. On exiting the cave the tour continues with a very scenic walk through pristine native New Zealand bush. Once back at base, tea, coffee and a snack are provided.
