The operator will kit you out in caving helmet, headlamp, suitable footwear, and caving apparel. The tour begins with a walk down the scenic Mangapu Gorge, where you can become acclimatized to the environment.
You then enter Mangarongapu Cave, and spend approximately 90-minutes walking through the large cave system, stopping to view the three magical glowworm displays. On exiting the cave the tour continues with a very scenic walk through pristine native New Zealand bush. Once back at base, tea, coffee and a snack are provided.
