Garden of the Gods is one of the most visited parks in the United States. As such, it is also one of most photographed places in Colorado and a photo tour by local photographers who know the park is the perfect way to capture it.Meet your guide at the Gateway Rock parking lot at 5:45PM and have gear ready for beginning of the walk at 6:00PM. A brief intro on lenses, camera settings and techniques will be discussed as we start the tour. We will walk south along the Central Gardens trail which runs through the heart of the main rock formations. Kissing Camels, Keyhole Window, Pulpit Rock and others will be photographed along the way. We will then connect with Palmer Trail which runs along the outskirts of the park. Vantage points along this trail create wonderful panoramic views of the park of all the various rock formations. As we loop around Palmer Trail we end up right at Gateway Rock Parking lot. If finished early participants can follow the guide in their cars to the Siamese Twins and Balanced Rock or to the over look behind the visitor center for an all encompassing photo of Garden of the Gods with Pikes Peak in the background.
