Tours head out of town via North Cheyenne Canyon and into the foothills of Pike's Peak and the Rocky Mountains. Our tour stops at Helen Hunt Falls for a brief visit to a classic Colorado water fall 2,000 feet above Colorado Springs. Above the falls your tour route joins the Shortline Railroad grade traversing through two historic rail road tunnels and offering spectacular vistas. The views over the city and out to the plains and beyond, inspired the song "America the Beautiful".
At the end of the rail road grade is what civilization was 100 years ago. Our tour drives through the historic districts of Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. Your guide will point out the oldest building in the county built in 1859. Cowboys and Indians traded furs on these streets and laid the foundations for the building of the west in these old structures.
We complete the drive with a tour of Garden of the Gods. This city park is registered as a National Historic Landmark. Its spectacular red rock formations will keep you in awe. Your photo opportunities are unobstructed in our open-air Jeeps.
This is a wonderful Jeep outing for guests that are short on time or just want a dramatic way to end the day. The tour is about 70% on paved road and 30% on dirt and is offered year-round!
