Enjoy this 3-day tour which will give you the opportunity to trek Gangneung’s beautiful hidden trails. It will provide you with a breathtaking view over the East Sea and Gangneung City and take you to picturesque spots along the coast line. You will enjoy the sun-rise at Jungdongjin and ride the Hyeonhwa Road, among other. DAY 1 (10:00AM - 6:00PM)
Once you are picked up from your hotel, you will set off for a 4-5 hrs/12 km of trekking, which will get you to Sunjaryoung part of the Daegwallyeong mountain pass in the Taeback Mountains of eastern Korea, which provides breathtaking views over the East Sea and Gangneung City.
Then you will warm yourself up with a Gangneung-style meal in Gangneung and then enjoy Sengyojang - a former upper-class residence from the Joseon Dynasty. After that, you will take a short walk in the lovely pine-tree forest surrounding the Memorial Park of Heogyun and Heonanseolheon, a prominent Korean politician and Korean female poet respectively in Joseon Dynasty.
DAY 2 (sunrise - 03:00PM)
Once you are picked up in the morning, you will set off for the Gangneung’s Bau Trail (“Bau” meaning a rock in Gwangwon-do dialect), which will take you through picturesque spots along the coast line.
First part of the trail is the 12km-long, spanning from Sacheon beach to Jumunjin beach in which you will enjoy the lively fish market and also grilled fresh fish for lunch.
Then you will enjoy the dazzling view at Jumunjin lighthouse and Stone park and then rest at Jumunjin beach.
DAY 3 (10:00AM - 6:00PM)
On your last day, you will enjoy the sun-rise at Jungdongjin and ride the Hyeonhwa Road with a breathtaking ocean-view. You will stop by the small, but beautiful Dongmyong Temple in Jungdong to experience its serene atmosphere before heading back to Harslla Art World. At the Art Garden which got its name “Harslla" from Gangneung of the Shilla Era. You will walk through the art works with a clear view of the sea and then go to the Gangneung City.
